Advanced Aerofoil Technologies AG
Hombrechtikon, Switzerland
18 January 2010
We are pleased to announce that Advanced Aerofoil Technologies AG (“AAT”) has
reached a new milestone in its history with the addition of a large international private
equity firm, Aurum Mercator Partners, LLC (“AMP”) to its investor base. Effective
December 4, 2009 AMP acquired a controlling equity interest in AAT. The acquisition of
a controlling interest in AAT offers AMP the opportunity to augment and create synergies
with existing affiliated clean and renewable energy interests, in addition to creating a
platform for further investment activity in Europe.
As part of this step forward, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis
Pfister as the new Chairman and CEO of AAT. Dennis brings 35 years of technology
development and operational leadership to the company. He has held senior
management roles at TRW, FMC and Sun Microsystems and has also successfully led
multiple entrepreneurial ventures. He will reside near our manufacturing operations in
Bayreuth, Germany.
We would like to thank Martin Messner for his substantial contribution to the company as
AAT’s interim CEO, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
AAT is looking forward to an exciting 2010 and continuing its commitment to bring the
highest quality investment casting offerings to its customers in the Industrial Gas Turbine
industry. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Harry Kaffenes at
